Ernie - C'mon, Tell Us About Road Atlanta

Best time of 1.41 is not too shabby at all, given the cars in the group; and 11th place finish out of 37 car

Getting faster each race, c'mon tell us the lap-by-lap story, make us look through your eyes...

Thanks in advance.

Gee I was going to report on LimeRock. After a day of test and tune, never been at LimeRock before. The Cayman quailfied on pole in class.Lead the class until a camshaft cap/seal let go, DNF. We made one, and with a bit of luck got to the start of the enduro. Lead the race until the last 5 minutes, we received a black flag. A 2 fold penalty , our pit stop was under 5 minutes and Cayman/Ernie was not just letting the slightlt faster cars by instantly. I feel if there faster they can pass us with their more power. Lime Rock is a short tight track, with a few places to pass, so if you slow to let someone pass, it hurts you also. Well the Cayman still managed a 2nd in class. Out of first by 20 seconds, we could have won. With tunning of the suspension, brake mods and other little tweeks, we turned a 1.00.1 lap in the enduro on 8 heat cycle Hoosiers. The GTR on street tires ,with my crew chief timing turned a 1.08 ish lap. TheMantis drove back 9hrs saturday. After 4 hrs sleep we displayed the Cayman at Upper Canada Regions 'Shift into Spring' at PFaff Porsche on sunday . The Altanta report is coming.Next week is Mosport DE, the week after Mid-Ohio.We were able to run with GT3 street 911s for FYI.WE still have a bit more speed yet to found. Ernie

Ernie,

Any and all reports appreciated, I'm assuming you've seen the conditions I faced at HPT this past weekend so you made the better weather choice to go to LimeRock (although I think the HPT track is a better track). Keep up the good work!

Weather, 75-80 clear skies. By the way, VP 109 race gas really perked up the Cayman S. There's an easy speed tip. Ernie

Interesting note on the camshaft, any possible causes in your mind?

Results look really impressive and promissing. Where do you see the improvements, in fine tuning or components?

As Ken said, any and all reports are welcome, we love to listen
