So Saturday I was at limerock with Patroon BMW, good group, diverse group of cars. I was running in the advanced group. It was perfect weather and not too many people. A Z06, a race prepared prelude and myself were tearing up the group. I ran a 1.03 in the afternoon, my best time to date. The Z06 and Prelude were maybe a second faster. It was great chasing them around.
So watkins, now that was a good time. 2 days, running the advanced group, PDA is now with Nasa so they had a race this weekend. On monday they had the race cars with the advanced group and instructors. They had open passing. NO POINT BYs, it was like racing. People taking corners, it was a little scary the first run but everyone got used to it and it worked out well. No incidents. The second day the racers got their own group and it was just us and the instructors, with only 20 cars on a 3.5 mile track it was wide open. I ran a 2.16 my second run in the morning. I was the fastest in the group without the race cars, it is amazing the grip you get in this car. I am still used to braking and taking turns at the speeds I used in the Audi, this car can take so much more. Anyway it was a great weekend. Hope everyone elses track day experience with the cayman is as good as mine.
no engine upgrades besides the desnork. I am running pilot cup, and I got the H&R lowering springs for the PASM from Farnbacher. I also got their harness bar. They also recommended the middle radiator like the 911 and the boxster S. This is only helpful on really hot days. All the plumbing is there so all you need are the parts. It looks better too. No weird black hole that goes nowhere. With the H&R springs they were able to get more camber. I am running negative 1.5 in the front and negative 2 in the back. When I get a trailer in a few weeks I think I will move to hoosiers and then I should be able to get another 2 seconds. Right now I am driving to and from the track on the Pcups. Ran 32 hot in the front and 34 in the rear.
PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

I was running padgid yellow in the front and stock in the rear. Sorry no video. I am switching to the performance friction 97 pad, better initial bite. I will be back at LRP june 15th, and then to VIR july 4th weekend with tracquest. Busy summer.
Why is it that the best laps always seem to happen when the camera is not rolling? I had that 2:14 a WGI and that :59 at LRP...and dammit the tape ran out! )
