I've been thinking about getting some shoes for the track, but am not really sure what to get. I've looked at Simpson, Sparco, Puma and Oakley. They all look like they have fairly nice shoes, but i don't have any experience with any of them.Does anyone here have any recommendations?

I have a pair of the midtop sparco's and they're decent but slightly uncomfortable. I wear the Puma future cat low's almost every day and they come in almost every color combination you can think of. Piloti also makes the corsa that's also a great fit but more of a walking/driving shoe than a pure driving shoe.
Attila - I use the Puma speed cat low cut shoes for autocrossing and the Puma Future Cat Mid Pro P shoes for the track when fire proof wear is required... I like them both a lot. Very comfortable. I particularly like the Future cats pro's asymmetrical lacing - makes the shoes very nice to wear for long periods of time, if necessary.

AttilaS, I got some Piloti touring shoes for regular driving. The Piloti web site says the Spyders are used by the Instructors at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving as their daily footwear. The company is based in SoCal.
I ended up buying a pair of Puma Future Cat Low and like them very much. I tried on the Speed Cat as well, but thought that the heal felt a bit toolow/loosefor my liking.
