Hillclimb - Collingrove South Australia

Last weekend I drove the Caymas S on this hillclimb at the second oldest motorsport track in Australia. It has been operating for over 50 years. It is a short but technical course - approx 700 metres. The GT2's and 3's are running times of 35-37 secs. On my third run, on street 19 inch Continentals I recorded a 40.6 run. I am fitting track wheels and tyres in mid-August and it will be interesting to see what the Cayman will do. I suspect that it is capable of 36's once I have learn the track, developed more confidence in the car. Will keep you posted.

I am also taking it to our local track, Mallala, in 2 weeks time. The Boxster s tipruns a 1.26 lap time on r-spec tyres. I suspect that the Cayman S will match this on street tyres. Will advise!
