even 9" wheels up front are hard to fit.
8.5 is best bet.
245 front 275 rear for RA1
235 front 265 rear for mpsc
dont deviate from these if you use 18", otherwise you have to do many other things to get the car to neutral.
if you want light TRACK wheels, dont screw around, here are the choices.
cheapest: OEM take offs
moderat price: BBS RSGT, not jsut any BBS, get RSGT. not all BBS are made the same.
$$$: jong bloed, fikse, kinessis, forgeline, CCW, BBS motorsport etc.

with FEW exceptions, all others are junk.
This is exactly what I need to know. Thanks mooty.
In term of the quality and weight, what is the different between RS GT and CH?
I am ordering Fikse Profil 13s, black centers and anodized chrome rims, 8.5 & 10.5 x 18, superbly made and very light track wheels (had them on my GT3). Most Enkeis are ridiculously expensive and are usually one-piece. Will run 245/285 DOT R Kumho 700-series tires on the street (unshaved) and Hoosiers or Toyos for the track.

from tirerack.com
one, CH isn't available for cayman.
two, CH is at 8.5X18 only, so too narrow for rear if you want to buy different wheels might as well try a bid wider. RSGT is 8.5 front and 10 rear
three, CH is 23.9lbs, RSGT is 21.2lbs front/ 21.6lbs rear.
four, wt difference a side, RSGT is forged and CH is cast. forging are stronger.
five, RSGT is considered to be a different product line then CH, like acura vs honda (not a very good analogy, but you get the pt) while BBS morotsport will cost you an arm and leg at 5500/set. it is made better.
six, RSGT is around 800/ea while CH is 480 or so.
in my opinion, if you want 18" for track use, and are concerned with cost. OEM is actually very strong and light. then RSGT is the biggest bang for the buck next step up. the others i listed are great wheels, but are all 4k and over.
jongbloed is unique in that it is very light, lighter than fikse and kinessis and very strong. but they dont have many styles yet and they are fro track use as there is no center piece covering the hub so it may look a bit strange on street. i love them more than my fikses however. they are 3500 or so a set. if you should chooos these, tell ryan john h send you, he will take care of you.

Lee, are you running 20mm spacer in the back? how do you clear the rear springs with JRZ's. i am at 10" and needed 5mm to clear.
A set of CCWs will only set you back about $2400.... At LRP last weekend they were as common as Fiskes (@$4,000). They started out with the 944T guys but have apparently now been recognized by the 911 crowd as a less expensive (viable ) option. FWIW the Corvette DE guys use them almost exclusively.
