XPA Sport Steering Wheel defect

Has anyone with the XPA Sport Steering Wheel noticed what I think may be a defect in the center air bag cover? The defect is located at twelve o'clock, directly above the Porsche emblem. It is a slight rise or outward crease in the otherwise consistent textured cover. It's almost as though something under the cover flexing the cover outward.
Thank you,
Joe

Yup,

My center air bag cover has the exact characteristics as you described. I was thinking about mentioning it to my dealer but haven't had enough motivation to do so thus far. I wonder if it's something that cannot be helped because of the design or do we just have "defective" units?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, mine has this as well. I just figured that nothing is perfect, so was not planning on mentioning anything to my dealer. Let us know if you find out that this is a problem that has been corrected.

Are you talking about the seam in the airbag cover that when it blows that is where it splits open from? If so, that is by design.

i believe that all Porsche steering wheels have some sort of crease on the airbag . I have the standard wheel as does my boss , and there is a crease in it as well . my friend has the sport wheel and his also has a crease .

That's what I deduced mine was, where the airbag will pop through.

Have the crease too, but after 5 months it has become more prominent to the point of looking unsightly. Almost as though it's a delamination of the plastic material.
