Question weird clutch squeak

On my 2006 CS with 6000 miles, whenever I depress the clutch it squeaks.
The dealer replaced the clutch slave and now it squeaks more and louder.
Any suggestions?

Probably needs to be lubricated... I'm surprised the dealer didn't when the car was in the shop. I doubt it has anything to do with the actual operation of the clutch - just the pedal travel mechanism needs some lubrication.

There have been two or three reports from those with sensitive ears on this and as brad said were solved with a few drops of lubrication.

thanks for the reply, the dealer had the car twice and the clutch noise is even louder than when I picked it up.

I will take your advise and talk to the dealer about lubing. The squeak is loud enough that you can hear it over the radio when shifting into first and barely audible after that.

I have a very good dealer but I think I will take in to my friend's shop to see if he can find it. Thanks.

That's very weird - if it really is that loud, and is really that different when shifting into first, as opposed to the other gears, then if it was me, I'd take it back to the dealer - maybe they didn't get it put back together correctly or something... that's weird... do it under warranty, that way if something else related goes wrong, they already have it on record as a previous issue. If it turns out to need a couple of drops of lube, then that's good, too.

I am sure the squeak is there in second gear and up but the engine drowns it out. Thanks for the good advise. I will stick with the dealer. This is my 5th Porsche so I am use to multiple visits for fix. I was just hoping that some else had the same issue before.
I am open to any solutions so when I go back to the dealer they can check all of them at one time.

No prob - Like Santa Fe said, I've heard of this on here a couple of times before too, and it's always been a couple of drops of lubrication that fixes it.

Good luck - Please report back what the heck it turned out to be.

Thanks, I checked with the dealer, they are going to pull the tranny next. Cross my finger it solves the squeak.

I just developed the same squeak you mention after 24000 miles, I suspect it just requires lubrication and will bring it to the dealers attention when I next get it serviced.

I have a clutch pedal squeak, too. Mentioned it to dealer during visit for master cylinder replacement (!) but still present. I'll wait and try again on next trip for whatever warranty issues arise; I'm sure there will be some.

My curiousity is that, when I fully depress the clutch pedal, I can hear a microswitch click. What's that for?

Remember that you must depress the clutch pedal in order to start the engine? That's what that switch is for. They are cheaper, simpler and more reliable vs. detecting if the transmission is fully in neutral. In addition, they can be used to ensure that the cruise control system deactivates if you depress the clutch.
