Is brakes squeal normal?

Every time I drive the car after it's sat in the garage for a few days, my brakes squeal. It's a temporary thing and goes away after a few minutes of driving.

Does anyone else have this problem or should I call the service department?

Check the brake rotors and see if you have some rust. After I wash may car and let it stand, they have rust. The next time I drive it, they make a noise the first few times I press the pedal while it clears the rust. Other than that they make no noise with the original pads.

Now if you had Pagid Orange that is another story, mine squeel, but not horrible. That is the price you pay for not changing the pads.

squeaky brakes

cayman S ( 8000 miles) unbearable brake squeaks . took it to the dealer , cleaned my pads and discs ( charged me ofcourse ) . but the squeaks wont go away. they are becomming embaressing . is it possible that the heat shields are touching the discs? cuz they only squeak when the brakes are hot . can they physically be touching when the heat sheild expands and touches the disc ? or they cant physically be touching ?
