Question Funky Sounds from Cabin Fan

Anyone ever notice strange fluctuations in the cabin fan speed? It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it is noticeable. Sounds like the speed is going up and down at a high rate of change. I only use A/C as I live in Florida.

I've had that on a couple of occasions. It only seems to happen with climate control ON. What about you, do you have auto climate control?

No I don't. I'm taking my CS in tomorrow and will talk to them about it. If anything comes of it I will let you know.

The mechanic said that it is likely a servo loop hunting for the right setting??? He is going to investigate further but you know.......

So did he mention if this was a bad thing? It doesn't sound good. Mine has only done it a hand full of times, is yours more frequent?

In 2 months maybe 4 times. He was spinning it as "no problem" but is investigating further. I'll let you know tomorrow what he says tonight when I pick up the car.

Nothing to report. My dealer will not do anything unless it is doing it right in front of the mechanic. Considering how infrequent it is, I guess that won't be happening. I'm not too worried and either should you be. It's just a little disconcerting, that's all. Hang in there!

I hear ya. I wasn't too worried about it because it only happened a few times in 6 months. I was wondering how the mechanic was going to find it without actually recreating it. Well, thanks for the info and good luck to you.
