Engine rattle on cold start

I have a 06' CS w/14,250 miles. ( 99 percent road miles). Bought car new.
Problem: Lately I have been hearing an engine rattle on cold start after car sits 2-3 days. Car also idles rough for 20-30 seconds. I just started car after a 7 day park and heard a louder engine noise that sounds like lifter bleed-down and there was at least 1 cyl. DEAD. The ck/eng. lite was on. I gently reved the eng. as to try and clean it out to no avail. I turned the eng. off and re-started it and the eng. was smooth and the lite was off. I drove 25 miles and it felt fine.

On returning home I checked the OBD11 codes and found cyls. 1,4,6, to have a misfire code. Also a 300 code for random multi. misfire. I called porsche and they will pick my car up in the AM and tow it 100 miles to the nearest dealer, In Roanoke, Va.

Anyone had this happen to them and any knowledge on such? Nice to have a warrenty!!

Thanx, Old Bob

After not driving mine for a few days I definitely get a little of the ugly sounding noises, and maybe 5-10 seconds of a slightly rough idle, but then all is grand. It's pretty much been like this from day one and appears to be quite common. The error codes you are receiving plus the worse symptoms are a good reason for the dealer to have a look. Let us know what turns up.
