Dash gauge visibility

I have a problem with my Cayman that I think needs addressing, and possibly a communication with Porsche for a solution. Briefly here is the problem:

The dash gauges on my Cayman S have red faces with black numbers. This is an optional accessory. The problem is it is virtually impossible to read these gauges in the daytime lighting. This is because there is almost no contrast between the red face background and the numbers. The gauges are very visible at night with the dash lights on. One can not illuminate the numbers in the daytime to make them visible, because the automatic dash light dimming feature turns off the dash lights. This is certainly an error in egernomics and is probably a safety issue that Porsche should be made aware of.

I would like to find a solution to this problem and can see three possibilities.

1. Find a way to make the dash lights come on full bright whenever the ignition switch is on.

2. Change the gauge faces to a color that has a contrast with the gauge numbers.

3. Replace the instrument cluster with a standard assembly that has a readable contrast.

I do think that probably Porsche is already aware of this problem and may have a solution available. I hope someone can help me find a solution to this problem.

Anyone have thoughts on this?
Thanks, Ricardo
