Steering Wheel defect

In the middle of the steering wheel were porsche logo is and sarrounding it, i have kinda of a bump in the shape of a line running from top to bottom and around the logo, as if there is something pushing upwards or like the airbag is not placed correctly underneath. it doesnt show that much, but i was wondering if anybody has this problem? is it something normal?

That's the splitting seam for the air bag. I think they all have that. Mine's a blue sport wheel.

Correct. It's not a defect, it's a feature!

The seam appears to be more noticeable when viewed from the side and in flash photographs.

And when the airbag deploys, the Porsche crest slices into your brain and saves your life. Marvelous.

To confuse things, I saw a beige leather sport wheel on a Turbo 911 the other night and it didn't have the seam.

Its not a defect, just the design of the airbag. Better to be safe.
