Noticed when I turn right with a fair amount of lock at over 10MPH I am get a very loud screeching noise from my rear right area. For the life of me I can't see what is causing it. Anyone experianced it before?
Seriously, I haven't heard anything of the sort. Could it be tire noise?

Cayman S - a portable amusement park
Waz, it has been discussed a few times here. I don't have the time to find the threads right now but it is associated with turning the wheel too much and is "normal". Look around and you can find the other topics.
could also be powersteering pump failing. you can tell if that is the problem if when stopped and you turn the wheel it will make a noise like it is trying too hard.
Doesn't happen when stationary, only when moving and turning with half to full look at 10MPH upwards. Just started recently, it is so loud that the whole street turns round and looks!
just an updare guys, I just did an emergency stop and now the noise even happens when going in a straight line, could it be dirt stuck in the brakes then?!
similar thing is happening to our Cayman now (after 400mi. trip back from Vegas yesterday) - i am thinking power steering failure as we get the noise even when standing still, but turning wheel. time to call Carlsen Porsche and take her in.
good thing i already started a list of things for them to look at *wink*

Is the parking brake fully releasing?
