Whirring Noise

I'm getting a whirring noise when I accelerate that I hadn't noticed previously. It sounds as though a fan has an issue, or some other rotating bit is no longer in harmony with the rest of the engine. From outside the car, you don't notice it, but from inside it is noticeable to me. Oil level is ok. Any ideas?

Thanks!

It might be the bearings going out on an idler pulley for the serpentine belt... maybe the water pump... might be nothing... if you're concerned, you should probably take it in to a dealer and have them listen... that's what the warranty is for.

Problem solved. The night that I posted, I had noticed that the cover to the oil/coolant in the back trunk was open, but wasn't able to drive after closing it. Next time that I drove, no noise. Over-reaction? Oh, yeah, but appreciate the input!

Thanks!

That is the second or third time that has been reported so you are not alone.
