No easily visible alarm LED?!?!

The first time I locked my new CS in my garage I was shocked - Porsche got rid of the top of the dash mounted alarm LED?!?!

This is nuts - one of the points of an alarm is to visibly flash an LED letting anyone know it's active and that they should really find a different vehicle to steal.

Instead on the CS, you have to look at the central locking button and/or radio to see the LED flash?

This is doubly annoying as I used to look for the LED flash on my Boxster S to see if I had remembered to lock the door; now I need to go right up to the car to check anyway.

Sorry for the rant, it was just a surprising omission given Audis have the door LEDs and BMWs the flashing clown nose.
