Interior lights staying on

Has anyone else experienced this? My interior lights are staying on, even after starting the engine.

The lights are in position "0" for automatic operation. Position "1" keeps the lights always on, and position "2" keeps them always off. In position "0" (middle), the lights should come on when a door or the hatch is opened or when the key is removed from the ignition. They should then go off when the key is inserted into the ignition or the car is locked, or 2 minutes after closing the door. Mine go off about 10 minutes after locking the doors.

I've put the switch in position "2" for now, until I can get the car to the dealer next week.

Any ideas what might be causing this behavior?

FYI, this was fixed at the dealer. They just needed to reprogram some control unit. I have no idea what caused it though.
