A petition has been written to Porsche AG concerning the oil ingestion problem of the Cayman engine. You can view and sign the petition using the link below:
ps Shouldn't the petition also include our VIN numbers to help validate to Porsche that the petitioners actually represent their "valued" (?) customers?

Thanks - and thanks to those who proof-read and provided great edits. You know who you are.
VINs would be great but we did not want to limit potential signers to only current Porsche owners. Additionally, we could not request signers to provide that information and keep it private on the petition site. SO, if you sign the petition and would also like to provide your VIN, please PM that information along with the name you provided on the petiton.
I have listed this on the home page as a News item as well, remind me to send it out in he next newsletter to our members.

Have you complained to your dealer as well/already?
I just don't think that many individual Porsche dealers will be too interested in theoretical or even "probable-horrible" engine damage... Especially if the potential problems seem to occur only when driving your Porsche at high speeds on a race track.
However, I think petitioning Porsche AG is a different matter entirely.

I agree - I've also posted a thread on the Rennlist forum as well. If anyone has other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!
If you want as many as possible to take notice then you'll probably want to post on 6speedonline, rennteam, ppbb, and wherever else people gather...

So is there a connection to those who have problems other than competition? Say those who have modified the cars in some way? I'd imagine that would be the Company's first question and maybe the petition should deal with that out of the box?

I'd agree with that however I would not hesitate to complain about any bellowing smoke clouds from the car.
