Leak in Spoiler Hydraulics

Has anybody had a leak from the hydraulics in the rear spoiler? I have some oil that has leaked from behind the license plate and dripped onto the exhaust pipes. I just wondered if anyone had had this problem and if so what did they do? I will be installing a Capristo exhaust in a couple of weeks and wonder if when the exhaust is removed if maybe the leak could be fixed then? Or should I take it in & fixed under warranty before installing the exhaust..
Any ideas are much appreciated!

This is a new one for me. I have never heard of this issue but if there is oil involved, I wouldn't wait to take my car in. I'd take it in now and get it looked at.

Is the rear spolier really hydraulic? I always thought it was electric.

Ok the leak is not oil, but hydraulic fluid. The spoiler is now locked in the up position and will not retract. We think we will let Porsches warranty dept handle this one!

I just checked the parts listing and you are right, it is run by an electric motor..........

Must be some other fluid - Transmission? Or even good old Mobil 1 !!!!

The fluid was extremely clean - no evidence of being used engine oil. The leak seemed to have originated somewhere behind the license plate. The fluid seemed to have solidifed onto the tailpipe after the engine was running for 45 min or so. Even though the spoiler is electrical couldn't it still be fluid from inside one of the lift shocks?

No, I don't think so. I don't think there is enough in there to leak.
