Where did Porsche hide the service manuals???

I was about to spend the $110 to buy the schematics for the electrical system, as I am modifying the output for the alarm, only to find NOTHING! I've searched here, and see that Suneet has mentioned having some of the diagrams, and have seen the PorscheLibrarian posts, but was hoping to get the info from Porsche itself. Guess not. Is it true that the US gov't requires technical info be provided on vehicles and if so, what recourse do we have to get the info we need for our cars?

Anyway, if anyone can give me insight on this it would be a great help. All I really need right now is the portion of the schematic that covers the alarm/locking circuit with it's outputs to the lights.

Thanks in advance.

The service manuals for late-model Porsches are only available in electronic format. You can get the manuals from Porsche, but they are very expensive (last time I looked, it was like $130 per chapter). If you talk to your salesman or service manager, they might be able to get you what you need for less.

Or, you can PM porschelibrarian.

I actually checked the Porsche site, and only the parts .pdf's are there. No manuals, no schematics. I know they used to be there, maybe there's a link I'm missing?
