Window sticking on when going down

Does/Has anyone else have/had a problem with either window slowing about 3/4 of the way down and then "popping" or "thunking" as it fully descends into the door? When this happens, the auto-up function does not work, nor will the auto-down function -- until the window is put fully up. I have noticed that: (1) this is an infrequent problem; and (2) this does not happen in the winter.

I am taking my car in for its annual and 2-year service next week and thought I would have the service department look into this issue. (Of course, since it does not happen every time I auto-down the window, I figure the gremlin will not rear its ugly head for me when it goes in for service).

Any thoughts on the cause?

I will not bias any responses with my own thoughts; however, the car has never been damaged -- so it is not a repair issue.

i have this same issue with my driver's side, and also my passenger window goes up about half way then shoots down, i did that reset of the window control i saw discussed in a previous thread and it seemed to work for a while but the sticking is back, i have to take my car in for service so i'll just show it to the dealer.

Same issue here. Mentioned it during a service visit and they replaced window motors on both sides and reset the 'limits' under warranty. All fixed.

Same problem on passenger side. In my case was the rubber that was folding down with the glass. They (Porsche dealer) lubrificated the glass/rubber and get better. But after some washes the problem is back. Taking the car to the dealer tomorrow to change the rubber and to fix the rattl ein the B collum.
