I can not move the seat by pressing a memory button if the car is moving, does anyone else have this problem? I can still use the regular buttons to move the seat. ie, the seat back and bottom. Edited by - craignyc on 03/28/2006 08:55:31 AM

It might be a security feature, since the second or third settingsmay be for a second driver who might be smaller or larger than you, thus placing you in a position, which will compromise safety. While driving our BMW X3 I have tried to change from memory position 3 to 2, however I've pressed 1, which was programed to my wife's dimension, pressing me against the steering wheel and cramping my legs under neat the dash.

This is actually a safety feature, the memory settings are disabled when the car is in motion.

Its actually a good safety feature. If you're 6' and your wife is 5'3', you'd hate to press the wrong button and find your knees getting jammed into the dash and your mirror settings changing while moving. I think its pretty standard on all cars with memory seats.
