Steering wheel buttons not working well

I have an issue with the buttons on my steering wheel. The scroll buttons don't work very accurately. The one on the right (which controls the menus in the navigation thing) suffers from the following:

1) 50% of the time when you scroll up one level, the thing on the screen goes up oneand then back down. Scrolling down doesn't have the same problem.

2) When you press the button to go into a menu (or confirm a setting), it goes into the menu (or confirms the setting) and then drops one down (scrolls one down).

The left hand scroll button (that controls the volume and mute) takes a LOT of scrolling until you can hear a change in the volume. You scroll scroll scroll and you don't really hear the difference until after quite a bit of scrolling. Pressing it to mute and unmute works okay.

The button on the left that changes is the display on the screen (flips between displays) feels kinda sticky and you need to press it down quite hard to get it to work.

I took it in to the dealer and they said they'll replace the steering wheel with a new one.

While I was at the dealer, we tested a Carrera and another Cayman. The Cayman was fine, but the Carrera had similar issues. It seems Porsche will be replacing quite a few of those!

If you have buttons on your steering wheel, check that they're working well.

rgds,

Ziad

Wohoo:-)))) The new steering wheel arrived last week and I sent in my car yesterday to the dealer to have it fixed. They swapped my old faulty one withthe new one that works nicely so far :-)))

The buttons are responsive and I don't get any weird behaviour when I scroll up and down.... not so far anyway.
