Seat Damage

Take notice of how you are getting in and out of your Cayman, because the edge of the seats can be damaged. I do not have any leather upgrades, so the sides of my seats are some sort of man made 'pleather'. I clean my car about every two weeks, so I'm confident this visible damage happened during a two week period. But, I can't say whether or not it occurred during one entry/exit from the car or over a period of time. I'm a big guy, 240lbs / 6'2', so I tend to rub the seat with the back of my body and the bottom of the steering wheel with my legs when getting in and out of the car. Just a word of caution!

I've had this problem in prior cars - scratched my Boxster seat the first month I had it. Determined my belt to be the culprit. I'm now very careful to not let it rub against the seat when getting in and out of the car.
