Is this normal ?

Had my Cayman about a week and having now got over the initial buz I have noticed that when driving in a straight line (no slope or camber) the steering wheel is slightly to the right and not in the straight postion. Firstly is this right , I know it cant be but gotta ask anyway, and secondly do people think this will be covered under the warranty or is it a wheel balance/tracking issue and something i will have to pay to get sorted ??

Cheers,

Matt.

Hello Matt,

My car had the steering wheel to the left when I picked up my car. They re-aligned the car and it was covered under warranty. Car has 2200 miles on it now and still tracking straight.

Thanks I will take her in to be sorted.

Whilst i am complaining about things has anyone else got two small sections of clear plastic on opposite sides of the gutter where the rear hatch fits into when it is down? Mine seem to have either discoloured or are covering paint which has discolured, only noticed it today, quite worried about this ?

Cheers,

Matt

Matt, 99% of the time when your steering wheel isn't properly centered, it's due to your front end alignment being out of spec. You should probably get it taken care of ASAP to avoid abnormal tire wear. Should be a warranty repair.
