Door handle doesn't work

All of a sudden yesterday my driver's side door handlewill not open the door. I have to reach inside and open the door from the inside. Anyone else experience this?

It might be stock in the Locked position. I would try to press the Lock/Unlock button a couple of times to see if it re-engages,

I checked to see if it was stuck in lock and tried the key in the door. Nothing works. When I lift the handle I can tell it is not engaging. Oh well, off to the dealer she goes.

Tried second key this morning Russ and no luck. When I lift the handle I can tell that nothing is there for the door mechanism to 'grab'. The handlejust pulls up and kinda squeeks.

Update - Took the car into Rockville Porsche on Friday. They took the door panel off and found thatthe connecting cable broke that enales the door handle to function from the outside. Part needs to be ordered and they inform me it is a half-day job. Hopefully get it done on Thursday. Doesn't sound like a big deal but it is a real pain in the *** when you have the windows up and go somewhere. You have to open the passenger side door and crawl across to the driver's side and open from the inside.Ugggghhh!!

Oh well, as soon as I start it up the frown turns into a smile. The price I have to pay (for now) to drive the best handling car on the road today .
