PASM Failure

Right at turning 4,000 miles my computer beeped and showed a PASM failure. The Sport mode would not turn on for both Sport Chrono and PASM. In addition engine light came on. When I turned the ignition off and turned the igntion back on both came back and were working fine. Just as I assumed everything had reset and was working fine I stoped at a store and after turning the ignition off again and getting back in and starting the car the Sport Crono worked but the PASM would not come on. Will take it in Monday and get an update on the problem. Hopefully nothing serious.

I agree. I don't believe it's anything with the dampers.

I think the system has the ability to reset itself if there is not a problem. Also did get similar feedback from the dealer.

Skup,

The Same thing happened to me last week at about 4000 miles as well. my airbag light is on as well as problems with the stereo. The stereo jumps from CD to FM, screen goes black but radio is on, cant turn it off or adjust volume back and forth like that. I drove it yesterday and the pasm system seemed to now work fine as did the stereo. I go into the dealer on wed the 19th. Hope full they will be able to sort out what happened, reset it etc. The dealer is 45 minutes away and I sure as hell do not want to have to run up there alot chasing an electrical gremlin

I had PASM failure twice today in 200 miles of driving, mainly on the motorway Both times stopping and restarting the car reset the system. When the failure sign came on the suspension went into PASM Sport mode but the PASM and Sport buttons would not work toturn it off. I had not switched PASM or Sport on myself.Tookthe carto the dealer whochecked for error messages which said one of the shock absorbers was not communicating fully but they did not know which one. They reset the software and it is fine again.

However at the dealer visit the checks revealedthat a misfire had occurred once on number six cylinder at some point.A coil is now on order and the car needs to be at the dealership for nearly a day as the engine needs to be cold for them to change the coil.

I had the exact same sequence of events but the dealer said there were NO faults so nothing they could or would do. 1000 miles later and still no repeat problem so I'm hopefull it was just a low battery.

Ask a Cayenne owner they have the same issues from time to time, no fix from PAG.

The PASM and Sport failure is back on my car.The PASM comes on by itself and I also get a Sport failure message. This issue is now happening quite often. The car is going to the dealer on Tuesday and they are loaning me a car. They can keep my car until it's fixed
