CD stuck in the dash

PIcked the new Cayman S up on friday... just found the first problem.

I have the PCM, and just put in an MP3 CD. It tried to read it and said there was an error. Now the CD is stuck and it won't eject it. It just says there is no CD.... help!!

I'm sure you took the car into the dealer and they took the cd out already; but this once happened to me in my dad's Cayenne which also has PCM. I searched it on a popular Cayenne Forum and it seemed to be a common occurence, the eventual solution on the forum and what worked for me was dental tools from Home Depot; essentially a small, curved hook that you can use to budge the cd outwards while pressing eject so that it catches the motor and slides out. It definitley destroys the cd though. At the time my dealer said they would replace the entire PCM unit instead of open it up and get the cd out, and since the dealer isn't in town, I thought I'd try it myself first.

Try something like: turn off radio - get out - lock car - unlock car - get in - insert key and turn one notch - turn on radio - wait - hit eject.

I think that should work.

I don't have PCM but sometimes the CD player doesn't want to eject the CD. So I just turn off the system and turn it on again after a few seconds. The CD comes out after that.

When it happened to me the dealer had to swap the PCM for anothe r unit. They offered to buy me a new CD but I declined since I had backed it up in my computer.
