Apologies guys but I was drivig 18 hours yesterday and could not reset the server. I sent a message to teh ISP to reset it last night but they didn't get it so someone reset it this morning. This is one of the reasons that we are going to switch software at some point, I don't like the instabilities and troubling the ISP for reboots.
Nah, Steve. I ran a speed check onmy link and its normal. Must be a case of stick-um in the server, as the site is VEEERRY slow. Poor Ken, just one more thing to cope with.
I figured it was b/c Kman was out driving across the country... still it was awful... I thought it would increase my productivity at work but instead my entire brain shut down....
being in IT I guessed it was a server reboot that was required...
I'm going off-road in a CayenneS tomorrow on a Porsche Driving Experience day so will be reporting back on that and isn't it amazing how many people rely on this site
Damn. Ken shirking his responsibilites to the club site, just to go to the Parade ... LOL
Seriously, K-Man S does the most fantastic job that I have ever seen, when it comes to running a web site. Best ever. And the love he has of Porsches makes it much, much better.
I just wish I could have made it to the Prade to thank him in person.
Thanks, Ken. Great job!!!!

Thanks for the kind words. Now that I am back I will be checking into converting to something a bit more stable. There actually seems to be some issue with the photo upload add-on that hangs the server at times for some unknown reason and that's what happened while I was on the road for 18 hours. I know the ISP doesn't want to keep getting calls to reboot the server, so we'll be switching at some point.

Shaaa! The first problem is you got a windows server, lol! Second problem it is probably MS SQL Server! Third problem it is ASP!
In case you haven't determined by now, I am an Open Source faithful (I am a programmer/e-commerce developer). We have a whole rack full of 1U and 2U FreeBSD and Debian servers that use nothing but mySQL and PHP. The only time they need rebooted is when its time for a kernel upgrade.
But seriously, I assume its managed hosting and not in a leased rack. You should tell them to set you up with remote reboot. I'm sure all of the racks have the addressable powerstrips and remote console/ip kvm, but they will still likely want to tax you for enabling it for you (meaning plugging in a plug).
