In the shop

Leaving work yesterday I noticed a very slight whining sound coming from somewhere up front, but nothing specific.

By the time I got home it was really loud.

Turns out it was a leak in the front rack something or other and it is now in the shop waiting on parts.

Just got my Cayman from the dealer today, I took the car in on the 19th of September. The trouble started with the clutch sticking part way through a tight accelerating turn. The dealer replaced the entire clutch assembly and flywheel, appears that the manufacturer had installed the wrong bolts and they had loosened up 1/8 to 1/4 turn. I have a little over 8,000 miles on the car. What took the longest was getting the right bolts everything else shipped rapidly. Great car, just one to those things. Edited by - thieleng on 10/07/2006 6:54:12 PM

See my other posts concerning the clutch, it appears that others might have similar problems.
