Window self-lowering feature

My window self-lowering feature is working intermittently. It will always lower upon opening the door (no problems there). However, sometimes after closing the door the window will stay down and not close for....several minutes. If I lock the car it will close. If I unlock it, it will immediately lower again (even if the car is doing 100 mph). Using the power windows to lower then raise the window has no effect, it stops at the '0.5 inch lowered position' and doesn't completely close.

Odd thing is....my 350Z did exactly the same thing (they replaced the window control unit).

Are you using the remote key to lower and raise the windows? Mine works just fine.

Sometimes. I've tried it every way I can think of and sometimes it will work fine and other times it 'sticks' in the lowered position regardless of what you do. It will shoot up after...2...5...10 minutes on its own accord, which is why I am assuming the window unit is toast.

Mine got stuck in the lowered position also; fixed under warranty. Take it to the dealer...

Have you considered that you or something might be scaringthe car? Speak quietly inher presence and keep the radio at moderate levels. Try different radio stations, maybe classical or PBS; I would refrain from stressful talk radio though.
