Low gas alert warning = passenger seat belt warn

So, yesterday I had the first Low Gas Warning. Consider remaining fuel... When I press on the handle to reset the warning, the Check Passenger Seat Belt warning followed... My friend had to push on his seat belt and put it back on and the warning continued. Then I reset it, then no seat belt warning. The gas warning was still showing up as the ! mark on the dash.

Anyone run into this before? Fluke? Computer? Just normal?

I've never had them in combo, but I get the low gas warning when the tank gets to a certain level... when I reset it, the ! light stays on... the manual says it's supposed to do that. When I fill up, it usually turns out I have about 2.5 to 3 gallons left in the tank.
