Bose in-dash CD player resets

I have the Bose system with PCM and in-dash CD. About half the time when I start the car with a CD in, the CD starts from the beginning rather than where it left off. No pattern I can identify. Seems to be on any CD, although I burn most of them. No problems with skipping while it's playing. Has anyone else been noticing this behavior?

Yes, I have noticed this and I agree it's somewhat random. I have an MP3 CD with approximately 93 tracks on it. It usually seems to occur when I have last listened to tracks in the last 1/3rd of the CD. I have no yet figured out the true pattern though.

After reading all the feedback on this forum regarding the in-dash CD, and from personal experience with my own, I think it is fair to deduce that the in-dash CD is, in fact, a total piece of ****.

That is my technical analysis.

I agree that the in dash CD player is a total piece of ****. The F'n thing doesn't even play MP3s. An 8-Track tape player would be more usefull. While I'm at it does anyone else feel that the radio is a total piece of **** as well? The reception sucks. There is a major time delay in going from CD to FM. And when I change presets the display still shows the call letters of the station I was just on.

The in-dash CD with PCM and Bose at least does play MP3's and WMA's. I haven't noticed the big delay changing to fm, etc. Must be a different unit.
