Have had an annoying rattle over bumps since day one coming from behind me. I am anal about fixing these and I have used about a mile of felt etc on the plastic bits behind my head stuffing it everywhere but to no avail......BUT....thanks to a tip on cayman club....I removed the privacy screen and ITS GONE!!!!! Whilst the car is stationary the clips do not rattle and therefore I couldnt detect it as a problem but if you remove it I found the clips were spring loaded and each time I went over a bump the rattled quite badly. You will know what I mean if you take 10 seconds to remove the screen. Anyway I am in heaven and if anyone thinks the noise is just behing their ears, I urge you to try removing screen and seeing if it helps as the acoustics of an enclosed hatch make it difficiult to pinpoint a rattle. Good luck
I had the same experience with the "light" rattling sound from the privacy screen. I've had the annoying rattle for a month or so and I couldn't figure out what was making the noise so I was trying to isolate the problem and I finally came to the conclusion that it might have been the privacy screen causing the noise problem based on its characteristics. Just like you, when I removed the privacy screen the noise was gone!! Thank goodness. I also am very fussy about noises inside the cabin and I was so happy to eliminate this very irritating one.
Happy again.

I just picked up my Cayman S this afternoon and heard the infamous "rattle" the moment I drove off the lot. Took the privacy screen off and the rattle is gone!!!
For those of you with rattling privacy screens. Did you check the springs to see if they were bent or could be bowed out to provide a stronger contact point?
Is the privacy screen the net in the back or am I thinking of something else? I thought that I might have isolated the rattle to the plastic piece that borders the rear hatch window but I will definately give this a shot.
I know exactly what it is. The plastic parts at the bottom of the privacy screen bounce off the oil/coolant access hatch. I now only use my screen if I know I will need it.
The Privacy Screen is known in the Owner's Manual as the Luggage Cover (page 154). Instead of removing the Privacy Screen, get two self adhesive felts and stuck them to the lower left and right hand corners where it rests on the metallic portion of the rear cargo area.
The rattling sound comes from the corners of the Privacy Screen bouncing against the metallic portion.
Took care of it this afternoon and it's been rattle free.
It is the little spring-loaded fabric chingadoomis that mounts to the rear hatch and covers up the gap between the hatch and the engine lid to prevent prying eyes from seeing the treasures you have stashed in the 'boot'.
