Just wanted to pop by and say "Hi!". I've been lurking a bit because I wanted my first post to be when I finally received my car. Well, after waiting since end of March my Cayman S finally came in! (actually 3 weeks ago but I've been travelling... I went from the airport straight to the dealer to pick it up).
I chose the Meteor Grey Metallic with the full leather Sea Blue interior. I spent a lot of time comparing options and went with a few goodies like PASM, etc.
I'm really happy... scratch that... I'm ESTATIC with the car. What a machine!!!
PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

You chose an absolutely fantastic interior. I love the Sea Blue. When you get a chance, you need to post some pictures of your new baby; especially the interior.
Congratulations and welcome to the CaymanClub Riskinator! As others have mentioned, please don’t forget to incorporate your new 2007 Meteor Grey Metallic Porsche Cayman S into the registry. Also, we love photographs, as if you couldn’t tell. Men are stimulated visually. Keep it tame though. I bet the Sea Blue Full Leather option is visually stunning. By chance, did you get any of the other Leather options to compliment the interior? Well done thus far. Enjoy the adventures that lie ahead!

Welcome and congrats on what sounds like a great color combo. I saw the Sea Blue Interior in an Arctic Silver car and I thought it looked really good. Interested to see how it looks with Meteor. The pleasure of finally getting your dream car after a long wait is its own reward. Enjoy!
Welcome!
So you have a ~4 month turn around on orders. It's currently 6 here and I thought that was good, compared to 18mths 10 years ago (for a boxster).
I'm really interested to see your car too - pls post pics.
Thanks everyone. I hope to take some pictures today. I'm just having to much fun driving the darn thing than to stop and take pictures!
I've had nothing but compliments on the car and particularly the color combination. It's been really outstanding the feedback on the meteor with sea blue.
Okay.. here's a couple of quick pictures. They didn't turn out great but may give you a bit of an idea. I'll try to post some better ones once the initial "driving" bug wears off a bit. I live near some great scenery so I'll try to get some more "artistic shots" later.
