Got me a Cayman Yesterday...

I picked up my first Porsche (Cayman) yesterday and man what a car. It's kind of like the Harley thing: "If you have to ask you won't understand.."

I got the metallic brown color and just the regular 17 inch wheels. This color suits this car very well. I didn't order mine but rather went to the dealer once I saw this car in their inventory. Everything about the car is perfect.

One curiosity though: while chatting with the sales manager he indicated that for 2008 Porsche changed the service interval to once per year or every 12,000 miles. I seem to recall previous models went for 20K and every two years.

Anyway...I truly love this car (perfect daily driver). Thank you for maintaining this sight and I look forward to spending time with the club.

Vladimir

Welcome to the Caymanites!

I think the original service interval was a stretch, so we should all be following the revised shorter interval. Maybe Porsche dealers were also complaining that they weren't making enough on servicing.

Welcome, and I concur, if you got Macadamia post some pics and that reminds me I need to create a Macadamia, Malachite and Ruby Red set of categories in our Cayman Images gallery. Don't forget to put your Cayman into the Registry and join PCA if you haven't already! Welcome!
