How come every car I would think about buying is first available in other countries. The new M3 has been sold in dealerships elsewhere for about half a year. Same with the Granturismo. Is it this US seasonal/model year bs. Maybe its a technique dealers use to trick you into investing in a European delivery/vacation. What gives?

Because its cheapest here... every other country sells the cars that you would think about buying is more expensive than the US.

Was the gift of the watch and other gadgets something that is included with all Edition 1 cars or was it something extra your dealership gave you?

When I purchased my CS I didn't get squat. Oh wait a sec, I got a cheap $5.00 keychain. A T-Shirt or a mug would have been nice, but I didn't get anything cool. You are sooooo lucky!

Again, congrats on your new car and your other fun gadgets! Rock on!!

Vanessa
Thanks Cayguirl!

The gift of the watch and other gadgets comes default on the edition 1, neatly placed in a case in a suitcase. Apart from this I got an umbrella which fitted nicely into the slot by the door on the passenger side.

I've been reading this forum for a little while and saw that you got your Cayman not so long ago, congrats to you too!

Have a beautyful day!

Hi Anne,

I think the case of gifts is a really nice touch. I think ALL Porsche's should come with something like that. But I understand that your car is very special and you deserve a nice gift!! I love your car! It is just beautiful.

Yes, I bought my car about 2 - 3 weeks ago and it has been a lot of fun. It is hard to restrain myself from going waaayyy toooo fast! I can see that you love speed as well. I have never driven on a track but might this summer. It is very impressive that you can ride those crazy motorcycles. That is a little bit too scary for me.

I haven't registered my Cayman here yet but plan to post better photos and register soon. I just need a nice day to take the photos. It has been snowing here.

Have a great day!

I have to say the Limited edition really doesnt look half bad! That interior looks way better when all that silver is toned down.

The watch looks good too!

Congrats,

Lovely car.

PS: Caygurl. Its really worth getting the car on the track. It's addictive. Very addictive. You have been warned!

Anne,
The attached photos are from my Niece, who lives in Norway, of last winter's snowfall. I think you need more that winter tires to navigate around town. Do you also have a 4WD vehicle?

My Nephew is actually STANDING in the snow:

Where did we park the Tahoe last night?

That is awsome. Does he live in the eastern part of Norway? We usually don't have that much snow here in Oslo, but allways some every winter.
Before the Cayman I had a BMW 330 XI which is a 4wd vehicle. My boyfriend is taking over this as he is not going to put winter tires on his RS, so I can use that one if there should come extremely much snow. But I plan to drive the Cayman all winter.

afridi: I'm sure getting on the track is addictive, trying a turbo and a Cayman on the track is what triggered me in the first place, and I really understood what a magnificant car the Cayman is. It's a pity its such a long time to spring, I'm really looking forward to trackdays and courses. In may I'm going here: Scuderia Hanseat : Sports drivers' courses and driving safety training, Hamburg, Germany , they say it's very good.
