Today was new car day for me after a 4+ month wait. Took the afternoon off, went to the dealer to pick up my 08 CS, and proceeded to take a lengthy (100 mi.) and spirited drive home. I was bouncing off the rev limiter the whole way back (4200 rpm that is). Haven't seen it mentioned but that means I won't be going over about 105 mph for the first 2K mi. Fortunately, I only had to spend about 25 miles on the interstate after which I took hwy. 181 homeward. Fantastic road with a mix high speed and low speed corners. This is the point where I new I had made the right choice (30 miles of turns). The CS came with the Michelin PS2's (19" wheels) as I recall this being discussed in a thread recently. Took me 5 minutes of ownership before I had my first mod. done (clear sidemarkers). Thanks to everyone here at the Cayman Club for helping me get through the 4 month wait - it was without a doubt worth the wait Now I am just looking forward to getting better acquainted with my CS.
..under that rock overhang and walked away! No concern that a piece(large or small!) might fall and damage your new baby?? ;-))) Merry Christmas- Santa came early for you!!
However, your picture makes me totally jealous - the only curvy roads around here are the freeway ramps.

Congratulations - that's beautiful! I won't be getting my CS until the middle of January - I hope! My plan, weather permitting, is to drive home (from NJ to NC) via the Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
If you don't mind, could you tell me the route you took? I'm always looking for a little detour off the Parkway for good driving roads up in the mountains!
Mike

Cayman S - a portable amusement park
Beautiful picture! Definitely calendar worthy (and if you dont think it is, you should go reshoot at that location...the combination of the twisty road and the rock are very nice)
