PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

Sport Chrono and Chrono Plus
This optional package is a valuable addition for trackday use. Available in conjunction with the CDR-24 CD radio, it includes a swivel-mounted analog and digital timer unit which is centrally located on the dashboard. All functions are easily accessible via the control stalk for the on-board computer. Analog dials measure hours, minutes and seconds, while a separate digital field displays whole seconds, tenths and one hundredths of a second. A second digital display runs in parallel in the instrument cluster. Click this Link to visit the FAQ entry for Sport Chrono.

I've been itching like you TRACKDAY...I bought my CS a month ago. But I bought it down in Florida. I live in Michigan. It's been sitting in my in-laws garage for 3 weeks. I've only driven it once (the test drive)! I didn't even get to take delivery...my wife and brother-in-law did I finally get to go down this coming weekend and will be driving allllllll weekend. We'll ship up to Michigan after this trip. Anyone have shipping company recommendations?
Nice car and nice pics! My CS on order is Cobalt Blue too, so these brought a smile to my face. (Yeah, I know, with a handle like whiteone you would think I ordered white, and I did, but my spouse talked me into switching to Cobalt Blue, and your pics have me thinking it was the right move. Perhaps the mods will let me switch to blueone )
Wow, beautiful car! Your options list is practically identical to mine. I couldn't bear to spend any more for the chrome exhaust so I had Booth Designs swap out my exhaust tip with a polished one.
Great looking color too, I almost did Cobalt Blue too but chickened out at the last minute.
Have you been able to keep it under 4200 RPM?

Most of the time I was just cruizing, but yea, I punched it a couple of times, but that was after I had 900 miles, and didn't get close to redline until 1200 miles, one time only. That ain't gonna hurt it, IMO. I'm going to do the early oil change to clean out the assembly crud. I'm going to take it into the hills soon and start driving a little more spirited, but stay away from the redline for awhile longer. The engine feels tight, doesn't rev too freely, so I'll take that as an indication that it needs a little more pampering, (or that it needs a lighter flywheel!)
Congrats on your new ride. Cobalt Blue is the best! Eye catching, sophisticated, interesting and faster than Speed Yellow (IMHO). Great options. Rest up and enjoy.
