I just ordered my 2007 Cayman S. A little nerve wracking. Excited to be ordering the beast, but a little nervous expending all that capital in a fantasy come true since 1965! Salesman said the Seal Gray is not available as an extra cost color, only as a paint to match color, and TPMS will be standard. He couldn't quote anything else because the only way he could find out info is if someone ordered an option and it wouldn't go through. I have no idea of any other equipment additiions or deletions nor do I know the new price. The story continues...
TPMS
TPMS - The Tire Pressure Monitoring System provides early warning of any drop in pressure by continuously monitoring the pressure in each tire and alerting you in the onboard computer display in the event of a pressure deficiency. It communicates the exact pressure of each tire and/or their deviation from ideal pressure. This does away with the need for regular air pressure checks at the service station, which often prove highly inconvenient.
I have not looked at the Porsche computer order system in awhile so I can't verify if it will take an 07 order yet, but I can tell you that 07 order guides are not out yet, so unless the computer specifically say 07, I think the dealers would still be guessing at this point.
Thanks for the feedback. K-Man S: You're correct that the order guide is not out yet, but there have been two 07 Cayman S cars 'ordered' and SealGray is being kicked out or not taken by 'someone' up in the Porsche ranks and its not just my dealership but other dealerships who communicate through their own e-mail chat room. The sales manager told my salesman that not to put in for TPMS because its standard this coming production year but he wouldn't say anything else. As far as equipment...pretty basic: Arctic silver (no imagination), cocoa leather, sports steering wheel, Xenon, preferred package, and dealer installed euro side markers. RussK and racso222 you are correct about no knowledge re: pricing. The plot thickenes... Bill

DavidNJ Interesting. I asked for the optional TPMS in my oreder form and I presume that is the TPMS which is to be standard in 07. Bill
