Got it Yesterday!!!!!!


Well, I'm officially a Cayman S owner!


2006, Black on Black, Sport Shifter, Sport Chrono, Xenons, 19' Sport Design Wheels, Bose....


I'm upgrading from a 1999 Miata, I was close to buying an Elise 6 months ago, but decided to hold off, boy am I glad I did, IMHO the Cayman is as much fun as the Elise with MUCH better livability (obviously).


Obviously this car is a revelation, the grins just keep comming, I look forward to my commute (actually, I wish it was longer now!). I wanted the Sport Steering Wheel as well, but I got a great deal on this car so I decided to bite. Power seats might have been nice as well, as my wife drives the car sometimes and re-setting the driving position after she's done can take a moment, but overall I think this is how the Cayman should be optioned...sparingly.


Just had to share! Great forum BTW.

Actually, my wife convinced me to go black on black...if it were up to me - SPEED YELLOW! The only problem is that the wife refused to drive with me in a speed yellow...thinks it's too flashy...


Anyway, I love the black, it's very sharp with dark tinted windows...


I will say, it's nice to have joined the Porsche 'family'. Last night after we picked up the car, my wife and I went out to dinner. Obviously, I parked in an empty part of the lot with no cars anywhere near me. When we lreturned, I notice a black 995 turbo parked right next to me in the middle of this empty lot, it's like the owner was saying 'welcome'...pretty cool!
