very interested in seeing these dynos...i had a set on my bimmer, and it made a noticeable difference on the butt dyno. I would pull the trigger on this asap if the numbers are verified.
I did a second Dyno run when I was testing a plenum, which was a few months after the runs I posted and the results were the same. If you believe turning off the AC makes a difference than you will understand less drag on the engine frees up power. These pullies were originally designed (in the case of the cayman) to help the power-steering issues the caymans were having, but as a side effect from the less drag it also free-ed up more HP.
This is a similar principal as installing a light weight flywheel, with less weight to move = less drag = free-ed power.
It's the cheapest Horse Power mod for a Cayman or Cayman S out there!
Plenum
The plenum is the piece that goes between the Cayman throttle body and the intake runners. The factory piece is a long black plastic tube with a divider down the middle. There are aftermarket replacements which are designed to allow the air to flow easier/faster into the engine and increase horsepower and torque.

BBI Under-Drive Pulley | BBI Roll-Bar
BBI Brake cooling package | GT3 Lower control arms
GT3 Front Sway bar | Tarett Rear Sway bar
Tarett Drop links Front & Rear | Tarett Rear Toe arms
Quaife TBD | Nitto NT-01s | PASM Springs
Some things to note: You have to saw / grind / file a LOT of metal off the Engine to make it fit. Some brands of torque wrench will never fit in, even if you grind the heck out of the socket.
The Pulley is missing a timing mark. So we added one. However Im not convinced the mark on the old one was that. Better safe than sorry anyway.
The OEM belt only just fits now. IMO it needs to be changed for a shorter one. There is a risk that the tensioner later will run out of tension as the belt stretches with age.
The dyno will be done tomorrow because the install time was so long.
While we were at it we changed the EVO V-Flow filter for a new. The old one looked discusting after 15,000kms+.
Result: Holey-Crack-a-Molley!!! Its is really noticeable. Cant wait for the Dyno tomorrow. I could not do any Gforce runs because the roads were wet today. Wheels spinning in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear! woo haa.
Suspect the Plenum is really firing now.

What other performance mods do you have?

My mods are: 06 Cayman S manual, de-snork, Milltek headers & Milltek Cat Back, Evo V-flow filter, Snapflash, IPD Plenum, BBI Under Drive Pulley and running 98 RON fuel.
Which is about all the bolt on mods that are available.
Im off to the Dyno today. Expecting uncorrected and certified power of 300 WHP+.

Ok, finally had the chance to Dyno my CS with the new installed bbi underdrive pulley today.
We did 3 pulls, all basically came in very close. Weather was also very similar to last time...
The chart shows an overlay/comparison of the baseline pulls I did last (when I put back on the stock exhaust) and now with the pulley installed.
4.6 RWHP/ 3.6 torque improvement (not that I really care about .5 HP more or less, just doing the math), which was pretty much in line with what I expected for my car. I also spoke with Betim at bbi and he seems pleased with the results as well.
I will use these latest pulls as the new baseline now to test the improvements of my new full exhaust system
and the Softronic hybrid plenum program. I like to see some improvements/smoother curve in the low RPM range as well... hmm
