I dynoed my CS yesterday. Mods include Milltek headers, Softronic and desnork. It shows only 225bhp at the wheels. What's the problem?
Softronic
SOFTRONIC produces DME programming and hardware to suit your companies specifications. Our current software suite is a complex matched set of programs housed in a Flash Manager and Flash Client. This software is matched with two cables, an End User and Master Cable. The SOFTRONIC proprietary flashing solution outperforms all other combinations in speed and accuracy including the factory Porsche equipment.
I think they have something punched in the computer wrong. It says you have 253.1 in the printout part. I just don't think they have the correct graph reading.
I had the same thing happen to me and it was a quick input of something and it was fixed.
Give them a call and see if they can print it out correctly.
Dynos should be used for before and after comparison purposes not for determining absoulte h.p./torque numbers. Why? Because they are not always reliable for that purpose due to software and individual make. Operators can also fudge results up or down or just be inept. Just use it as a before and after tool and hope you have consistent input. If you complain be careful because the operator can often give you what you want.
The temperature (28.3 deg C) is well above the temperature for a standard day (15 deg C). The increased temperature will reduce the engine power. There are corrections that can be applied to correct for non-standard temperatures. Ask the dyno operator if these corrections were applied.
The important question here is what was the HP before your modifications? As others have pointed out this dyno is not an accurate depiction of your true horsepower, but that aside if your pre-mod runs were say 30hp less then wouldn't you be pleased regardless of whatever the number says? You cannot compare one dyno to the next with any degree of pinpoint accuracy but this dyno is far enough off to say that "something" isn't right, but even if the ultimate number isn't right, the before and after may still provide a reasonably accurate delta %.
For example let's say your before dyno showed 200 and your after showed 225, a gain of 12-1/2% over stock. Now if the dyno were say a different one that showed your baseline to be 265 the same percent gain would translate to a 33.125 hp gain or just over 298 at the wheels. I think you'd be pleased with that wouldn't you? So what were your before numbers?

It's a tip right? It's about 20% drivetrain loss... so 236 at the wheels, OK...
Also is the Softronic tuned for local Singapore extreme humidity and temps?

Normally a correction is automatically applied, and this is one really bad source of error in Dyno testing. For example, a temperature senor exists at the dyno itself for ambient readings and usually there is a mobile one that is placed near the air inlet. If the mobile one is placed near a really hot spot the DYNO thinks the engine is sucking in really hot air when it is not, so the compensation is over applied and Bingo, you get more HP reading as a result. The correction applied is in the region of 2% depending on the temp delta.
225 is wbhp, 253 is adding back tranmission loss for Tip, 259 is the one adjusted for ambient temperature.
Does the gear ratio makes a difference to wbhp? I didn't do a dyno before mods but my mods can always be reversed. I specificially asked Scott to account for the hot and humid weather here. And honestly I could feel more power after installing Scott's software.

Also if the dyno is not calibrated for the altitude you will get very much lower readings. Lets say you dynod the car at 1500 meters above sea level, it can only do about 84% of the sea level power. If this is not taken into consideration you will get much lower readings.
