SUPERSPRINT full system dyno result

This is basically part 2 of my write up.
Part 1 here: SUPERSPRINT Headers/Cats/Muffler install & test

Ok, moment of truth, Dyno time! We had pretty much the same weather conditions as the last time. Car is running on 91 octane gas (unfortunately).
One minor problem, we had no accurate reading the first two pulls (the reader was loose somehow) and usually my car pulls the hardest the first or second pull, well, maybe lost a few ponies… but ok.

I told myself, this system now needs to bring my car to the 300 WHP mark, otherwise I would be disappointed. Last time I Dynoed my car, right after installing the bbi underdrive pulley, my car hit the 291 mark. I am basically expecting an additional 10 WHP now. Not to much I am asking for in my opinion. Most of you know, at this point it’s not so easy anymore to add lot’s of HP easy as to a bone stock car.

Anyway, here are the charts

9 WHP gain at peak (less what I was hoping for). But between 15 - 19 WHP gain in the midrange basically building up right after 3300 RPM. That’s better than I anticipated. The best gain of 19 WHP was at 4800 RPM.
Torque the same way, peak only 10, but 19 at 4800 RPM and 21 at 3700 RPM.
Most important for me, the biggest gains are basically all in the drivable range!
When I installed the system I felt the added performance immediate, I was guessing 20 WHP but hey, you never know…

I said this in part 1 of my write-up, I am very satisfied with the overall outcome and sure can recommend this system to anyone who is in search for solid noticeable WHP/Torque while enjoying a great sound (drone free!) on a daily base.

Now I really need new tires soon, Hmm…

Already on it Uploading one clip I finished this morning.
Problem with video/sound clips is, they just do not sound as good as in reality...

Did it lose power between 2K and 3K rpm as the charts seem to show or is that an artifact of how the dyno test was done? I spend a fair amount of time in that rpm range in city driving.

Not sure if it had to do how that particular pull was done. We did so many pulls that day and I took one of the many to display... I didn't get a read of the first 2 pulls (the most important ones for my car), would probably shown some more gains that way anyway. Maybe even in the range you are questioning, but since I almost never drive under 3k rpm I actually don't really care Do you put you foot down to accelerate while driving under 3k? I almost always downshift…

I heard Gforce's new SS exhaust at the bbi toy drive and his cars sounded great. I am assuming it was the street version, because it wasn't to loud.

You would need to dyno before and after to find out what it really is.
Supersprint said there is no big difference between the race and the powerloop/street muffler,
especially in combination with the headers and cats.

according to your results, you actually loose power btwn 2500-3200 RPM. do you notice this? i tend to stay in that range the most and would be want the system to be "quiet" there, too. i want the roar to come after 3500 is thats possible.

otherwise, your write-up sounds great and is of tremendous help. i was going to do Remus but i may do SS now. thanks,

Sure noticed the loss, but on paper only! Since I am never driving “hard” (the right word?) in that range anyway (how can you?), I don’t really care. A quick downshift does take care of that by all means in my opinion.

I am pretty sure that when you are between 2K and 3K in city driving all you are using is 50 HP or so. All you need is 50HP. This only matters under WOT, and yes under WOT the car is slower betwen 2K and 3K.
