My 2.7L Baseline Dyno

**DISCLAIMER**
For whatever reason these prints used grey ink in the green boxes. It was not readable once I scanned it. So I did go over it with a pencil so it was readable. Nothing else was done, I just didn't want anyone saying anything

So I went to UMS Tuning/Turbo Kraft today to get a Dyno for my 2.7L. I wanted to get a base line on the car before I did anything to it. Over all I am pleased with the numbers it was just what I thought the car would come in at, best hp was 215.5 w/ 183.7 tq

I went to this shop to get it done because they are completely independent from any place I will be getting performance mods done at. This way there is no swaying of numbers in anyones favor.

I left the grey text on this dyno so you can see how hard it was to read.

Next Friday I am getting a Cat-back exhaust put on. A B&B or APR which ever you want to call it. I will get another Dyno done after the exhaust is on to compare.

Double cool.... just got back from a track day.... I may not do anthing that makes my 2.7 faster, but since we run with windows down, it might be nice to have a better "sound"..

I don't think the exhaust will really make the car any faster. But it sure will help the 2.7L sing just a little better. I will still get the dyno done though just for my own curiosity.

Soon!

I just got the exhaust installed last Friday. I am loving it, sounds so much better. I got it installed at B&B, I used to work there was nice to see everyone again. I think I might of gotten a little bump in power and I mean little. But it looks so much better and sounds 100% better I think. I will try to get in this week for a new Dyno to find out!

I will keep the thread posted on the results.

If I can do the De-snorkel anybody can .trust me .Printed out the instructions and had it done in less then 1 hour.Noticable sound Improvement and Cayman-s has show up to 13 HP Improvement .you should try it . I think most of the Aftermarket Exhaust are pretty good The B&B looks to be one of the best.. how much did it cost?

I might get brave soon and try the De-Snorkel ive read lots about it. The B&B system cost me.... $500.00 and it was installed.... That is only because I used to work there, know Billy himself etc. Cash baby everyone loves cash money!

I do a lot of work for the Automotive Aftermarket, so I have several connections. These dyno runs are all being done free of charge as well.

Well I went in today to get another dyno done since i had the exhaust installed. I had to leave without the printouts, so I am getting them to email me with them. But I do know the car LOST 3hp but gained 5tq over all. I am some what disapointed in the results, making me remember the loss of power that the Boxsters got from the B&B systems.

As soon as I get the charts I will post them... But for now I know it ran 212.7hp and 188.3tq I believe.

*edit* I should have the charts tomorrow emailed to me.

Here is the graph they sent to me. These are the 2 best runs the car would do. As the car got hotter it was performing better, but I still lost 3hp after adding the exhaust...

Which I find to be completely odd, not un-heard of, but odd... APR... B&B... Same system yet they claim to make power I just didn't get any...

Did they give you any explanation as to why this is happening?
