I think the biggest difference in how we're looking at this is that I'm using the calculators to examine the change in performance from stock to F-L GTR, while you're looking at absolute numbers. Using my approach, the change in 1/4 mile trap speed from 107 to 113 requires about +50 RWHP, while using your approach, the observed 113 mph is consistent with 350 RWHP. I prefer the incremental approach, as it minimizes the influence of factors that consistently skew the results for both the stock and F-L cars (such as the excellent CS aerodynamics that increase its trap speed compared to, say, an Impala).
Regarding the F-L HP claim, I think it would be +86 HP if the 3.8 X51 were stock, but they add their own custom exhaust, and it was my recollection that F-L was claiming something like 390-400 HP.
In any case, a good discussion. I'm signing off on the issue of the actual HP of 3.8 X51 installations, so this thread can get back on the topic of the TPC turbo cars.

Cool...just to add that there are so many other factors we have not discussed.
Most importantly, and back on topic, I hope when TPC Turbos or any other high HP mod cars start reporting quarter mile results...we are looking at Trap Speeds with a +-2mph range and not ET's to judge the effect of the HP on its performance or versus its dyno results.

In the Autobahn Ambition interview TPS's Michael Levitas is quoted as saying the Cayman Turbo test car consistently ran a half second quicker than the
GT3 and put 5 mph to the GT3 in the 1/4 mile trap speed. He went on to say their turbo package drops the quarter mile time by a solid second and a half the same for the 0-60 time. Assuming he is correct, the Cayman 1/4 mile time would drop from 13.3 to 11.8 and 0-60 from 5.1 to 3.6?

Good God, Y'all! Acceleration, what is it good for?! Everything!(A little play on words of an old song).

If you'll be at GIR for the BMW Club's DE June 7-8 Paul's TPC turbocharged CS should have its track debut IF, as scheduled, it arrives next week. The last dyno sheet I saw (copy below) was 423 WHP 359 ft/lb with an amazing flat 100+ ft/lb gain over stock from 4000 to 6200 rpm. All with just 5.5 lbs boost. The extra time, multiple dyno runs and effort by TPC seems to have really paid off.

Dan,
Unfortunately, my planned track debut has been put on hold by a major project go-live scheduled for the following weekend. The things we do for our clients
I also still need to get my underdrive pulley and quiafe installed and then look for a late June/July DE. However, I do plan on going down to GIR as a spectator for a couple of hours so I will see the beast in action hopefully.
I will also be very interested, as I'm sure everyone here will be, in how the engine deals with heat over extended lapping on a slower track as it should be in the upper 80's next weekend.

I saw your car at TPC last Friday and the aero pieces hadn't been fitted, but hope you will get your car soon. You've got great numbers. What mods did you reuse besides your headers?
They did my quaiffe with the turbo and asked if I wanted to do the LWF and 3.8 clutch. I passed for the time being.
My engine temps haven't budged from my usual 175 degree marker after repeated hard demo drives with some friends.
