Dyno'd the car b4 and after Revo

I have the miltek headers and exhaust. No air filter upgrade as of yet.

before chip car was making 305hp at the crank
after chip car was making 335hp at the crank

according to FL after driving the car hard for 20 minutes the chip will adjust further to get another 4-5hp.

I will have dyno graphs soon.

also regarding the chip being seen by Porsche computers as has been mentioned in another post the problem has been corrected, earlier chips did have that problem.

What were the rear wheel numbers and what kind of dyno? Making 30 hp from an ECU tune is unheard of.

A dyno operator if he or she wants can produce some unreal numbers. Was this an independent operator are one affiliated with the modifications?

I'm not trying to imply that anything underhanded took place but considering that 3 or 4 different ECU tunes I've witnessed have all netted somewhere between 5-10hp at the rear wheels (7-12 at the crank) to have an ECU tune suddenly develop 3 times that amount is certainly questionable on a naturally aspirated engine. If the results were stock exhaust and stock ECU before and then modified exhaust and modifed ECU after I could understand the numbers, they would make sense, but these kind of numbers for ECU alone do not make sense.

when I have the graphs emailed to me I will post them up. I don't have enough info at this point to comment on the numbers. I was not there to witness the Dyno runs. According to FL who ran the dyno they believe there was such a big difference due to the stock ECU not taking full advantage of the headers and exhaust.

Wow 30 hp, I want one! How obvious is the power increase at the pedal?

Which Revo did you get? Did you get the SPS switcher so you can switch between maps/flashes?

I have heard a trick too get inflated Dyno numbers is to spray some pure Oxygen in the area of the intake for a nice boost.

Based on his post, guys, it sounds like he has a full exhaust system including headers. In this case he'll see more power with the chip upgrade than someone replacing the chip as their only modifications.

Maybe he can clarify what other mods are done to the vehicle.

mods that I have
miltek headers and exhaust
center radiator
de-snorked
GT3 control arms
GT3 brake ducts (extra HP feature)

coming soon
LSD
underdrive pulley
Half Roll Cage - custom

Ok a few things
  • the chip was done 2 days before it went to the fabricator for the roll cage so I have not driven it.
  • I got the SPS switcher, I have not tried it
  • I don't know what it is considered stage 1 or 2, I would think 2 because of the exhaust and headers.
  • Farnbacher uses the Revo programing as a starting point and then customizes from there.

Other than that I have asked for the dyno files to be emailed to me and they should be today or tomorrow.
