Alarm Problems

My Cayman alarm has gone off 3 or 4 times in the last 12 hours for no reason whatsoever. There is no window drop issue causing it to go off.

Anyone any ideas or is there a way of performing a simple diagnostic to see what is actually triggering the alarm??

Thanks In advance

Happened to me once also one bright beam lamp would stay on with the switch off and the key out of the ignition. Dealer contacted Porsche Tech for assistance and when unable to resolve it was escalated to Porsche Germany. Final outcome.......Something called the Front Control Unit had to be replaced.

When I first parked the Cayman in our garage, I backed it in. The act of closing the garage door set of the alarm every time, with the garage door about 12-18" away from the front bumper. After backing it up a little more, it was fine. I now pull in forward, all the way, giving about 3' of clearance from rear bumper and havent had the issue since. But I was nervous at first that I wouldnt be able to garage it!

Make sure the glove compartment is closed all the way also. If it is slightly ajar outside movement can trigger the alarm.
