INFO details on Speedo display blank

I have a PCM2.1 and usually the speedometer digital display shows the Radio station I listen to or the Navigation directions. This afternoon after starting the car, the only display available is "----". The digital speedo still works, and the mpg is indicated, but the radio station or navi signal doesn't show. It's as if the signal from the PCM is not feeding to the instrument display.

I'd like to avoid a trip to the dealer if this can be reset quit easily.

Any thoughts?

The only time that I have seen that display is if the radio is off or if I have just reset mpg or avg.speed. If it's not one of those scenarios, then I'm not sure. Did you change anything in the settings?

Is the center display disabled?

Check using the menu by pushing the lower left stalk forward.

I've done all of the pushing and pulling at the stalk, but to no avail. I even switched off, removed the key, but still no change.....

then....

I gave up and was resigned to taking it to the dealer....

So after leaving the car for 1 hr, I returned and miraculously, it has reset itself and all back to normal.

Phew!! avoids a trip to the dealer. Mind you, I wouldn't mind a trip to see a GT2 when that hits the showroom.
