AVIC D3 help?

Ok I recieved my head unit and dash kit and CAN BUS from Japan and am ready to install!! I have read the previous threads concerning this unit. Are there any step by step installs with or without pics available? I have installed head units before. Typically, they have all been just plug and play with the harnesses. I understand that from TresX post that there are some differences with moving a few wires around. I just don't want to screw this up! I already have the dash kit installed-I just need to be sure I get the unit hooked up correctly TIA for any help

skittlz74, do you have the can-bus adapter kit that gives you a speed sensor signal, illumination signal, etc? Or just the trim kit and speaker\power wire adapter?

Both! After reading all the threads I figured it would be easier to just go ahead and get the can-bus adapter as well

No, run lead to the back of the car and tap it to the gray and white wire leading to harness for back left tail light.

What advantages does the CAN BUS adaptor provide over installation without it?
