Fixing Bose SubWoofer Boom With GW500

I was seconds away from stuffing some polyester into the Bose Subwoofer because after 2 days I'd had enough of the boom, and my head was starting to hurt.

But, I thought I'd have a go at changing the EQ on my iPod connected via the Dension Gateway 500 first. The 'Treble Boost' option works perfectly and adds life to the mid and high, whilst silencing the boom. I now have my bass set to +3/+4 for normal playback, and adjust it down or up for certain tracks.

I'm stunned by the difference it has made, and if you've got a GW500 I'd strongly recommend giving it a go.

Does the Eq on the Dension Gateway work for the radio and CD player too?
I found the boom on the radio to be the most offensive. Stuffing the subwoofer box and plugging the port will make the radio and CD less offensive too.

Interesting way to tune it out.

I am with Paul though, I found the radio to be the worst offender of the three, and stuffing the subwoofer corrects all input sources (by correcting the output)
